Pen Pricker

This is my pen pricker. It is so easy to use! Got questions just comment!

At Home and School

AT SCHOOL

So today my fingers hurt! i Started to use the pen pricker. It has different numbers for how deep you want it to be. If i put it to 2 and a half its not enough. But if i put three its to much! I can see every little poke on my fingers. I'm kinda wierded out because some of the pokes are turning white! Is that OK?? Anyways, school is actually easier than what i thought! Its much easier than elementary. Plus i get to get out of class 10 minutes early to prick myself and i get to eat whenever i want!!So i need to get my seventh grade vaccination and all my friends are freaking out. They really hate needles. I'm not very scared i need to take 2 everyday!!

AT HOME
So yesterday my grandma wanted to try giving me my needle. She had Lupus. So she used to give them to herself. But the only difference is that my grandma never gave a needle to anybody except herself and she had to stab it in her like a fork in steak. Her needles where much bigger than mine since mine are the smallest in the world. So my mom counted to three and my grandma poked me because i moved. She tried to stab it in me like what she had to do to herself!! She asked my mom if that was how you do it and my mom emediently said No!!! My grandma asked if she was supposed to push it in like a dart! I was scared so i had to let my mom do it for me. But i still love my grandma! She wasn't stupid. She just learned a different way from past experience. :)

Hi There!

Hi, my name is Grace. I'm twelve years old and have type 1 diabetes. I've only had it for 3 weeks and its been pretty tough. Its hard to not think about all the things that could happen to me. I found out I had it when it felt like I had the stomach flu. My body wouldn't take anything. I was in pain mostly in my chest. I told my mom so she brought me to the hospital. I could barely breath. The doctors took me in right away. They told my mom I had to go to CHEO (Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario). They told my mom that they couldn't wait for a helicopter. I went strait to the ambulance. CHEO was only a hour away. When I got there they immediately attached 4 needle that stay in my arm. including 3 in my foot. It was hard at first to know that I had to get needles of insulin everyday because I had a fear of them. I never really like needles. So I stayed at CHEO for at least a week. my mom would go back home and come back the same day just to come and visit. she would even sleep there for a couple nights. My grandmother came down. I liked talking to her because she had lupus. She also had to give herself needles.

OK! School. i missed first week. All my friends her about the news. Some people where asking me about these obviously ridiculous story's that i have never heard. One of them was that my face had been stuck to my skull. And every day i half to go to the nurses office to prick my finger. My mom gets mad because i usually prick the pads of my fingers.

But just to tell you i live a fun and normal life!
